Check Your Understanding:
Created to help students monitor their progress during IM Math lessons for a decimal unit. Students would write the number that they believe demonstrates their understanding and would watch as progress grew. This is also helpful to pull small groups.

Student Goal Sheet:
Before beginning a new reading unit, students form a list of goals that they hope to achieve. These goals are them made into a poster to be displayed in the room and provided as individual copies for the students to have in their notebooks.
Geography Lesson:
This is a history lesson related to geography for fourth grade. The Colony Project is the invitation to the voyage that the project takes the students through. It is an interactive and creative project that students enjoy.
Center Lesson:
Consisting of four center ideas, this lesson helps students learn direction and how to read a map. Centers are designed for students to move between them and experience all four activities. To be completed in small table groups.
Antarctica Group Project:
Students have recently completed a unit on Antarctica where they pretended to be a research team traveling to McMurdo Station. They had to develop a packing list for the class and were then tasked to design a prototype of a sled. Students can be pictured to the right designing their sleds and then completing a sled pull. Each sled was tested to carry and pull 10 and 20 pound weights.
